Comp Trolley Part II

by Lia Halsall

1. 6 x Pairs Black Powder Free Latex Gloves
I prefer black gloves to wear when applying dream tan. And definitely powder free, you don’t want that all over your dream tan.

2. Hair & Body Glitter Spray
It’s a hair and body glitter spay that comes in a range of different colours, mine’s silver. It doesn’t spray sticky which is a bonus and washes off easily. But be warned ladies, it gets positively everywhere. I still to this day have glitter on my comp trolley from 2005.

3. Johnson’s Baby Oil
There is no better product for the removal of dream tan than this. All I use is baby oil and a clean towel, that’s it. Plus it’s less damaging on my sensitive skin.

4. Bikini Bite
Bikini Bite is a must have. It’s like a roll-on deodorant stick only sticky which is designed for securing our posing costumes. You don’t want any little accidents, do we.

5. Dream Tan
Dream Tan is the only product I use for tanning. I’ve tried everything on the market over a two year competition period and this is in my opinion the best product for my skin. I swear by it.

6. Vaseline
Is for my teeth just before I step on stage. Because I’m deliberately dehydrated my mouth is dry and pasty and holding and maintaining a smile is difficult. By applying vaseline on my teeth and gums it becomes my lubrication.

7. Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes
I like to remove my makeup once I’ve finished competing. Stage makeup can be quite heavy and clog my pores. So removing it sooner rather than later is better for my skin.

8. Johnson’s Baby Skin Care Wipes
These serve three purposes. Firstly for sticky fingers, don’t get me started on how much honey I get over myself that day. Secondly for removing any dream tan from my posing costume. Then thirdly for any dream tan I didn’t remove with baby oil.

9. Travel Tissues
I never leave home without them. That and I always seem to have a runny nose.

10. Costume Jewellery
I have my jewellery in a lovely little drawstring bag, black of course that’s why you can’t see it in the photo.

11. Visine Clear Eyes
I use clear eyes right before apply my stage makeup to take care of my blood-shot eyes due to being dehydrated. It also gets packed for just in case.

13. Glad Small Snap Lock Bag
1 x Sml, Med & Lge Cotton Tampon (for emergencies)
6 x Cotton Buds (makeup touch-ups)

14. Panadol
For my dehydration headaches.

The only things that are missing are my hair and makeup products. They get packed in once my hair and makeup is all finished. For makeup I use MAC Cosmetics but more about that in another post ladies.
