Katie’s blog today really inspired me in a number of different ways. It’s got me thinking about things.
I seem to have one good day followed by many not so good days. So seeing today I’m somewhere in between I’ve decided to get myself a little bit more organised ready for the week ahead. First up are my basic supplements I take for general health and well being. Considering I’ve been sick this week, the fact that I’ve neglected to take them for some time now is probably one of the many contributing factors. So I got my supplements out, put them in my supplement tray so there’s no reason for not taking them. Here’s what’s in there:

Breakfast
★ Multivitamin & Mineral
★ Fish Oil
★ Evening Primrose Oil
★ Glucosamine
★ Digestaid
★ Antioxidant
★ Hair, Skin & Nails
★ Gymnema
★ Folate
★ Inner Health Plus
★ Contraceptive Pill
Lunch
★ Fish Oil
★ Evening Primrose Oil
★ Glucosamine
★ Digestaid
Dinner
★ Multivitamin & Mineral
★ Fish Oil
★ Evening Primrose Oil
★ Glucosamine
★ Digestaid
★ Antioxidant
★ Hair, Skin & Nails
★ Gymnema
Bed
★ ZMA

I’ve also pulled my The Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook out for recipe ideas. For some reason today I feel like cleaning up my diet and by taking small steps towards this hopefully it’ll lead to big steps. I’m going to sit down and work out my meals and snacks, nutritional timing and ensuring I’m meeting all my nutritional requirements. Nothing to over the top at the moment for me but enough to get me eating regularly and healthy again will suffice. I have to walk before I can run so that’s good enough for me.

And I’ve been online shopping again. It’s just to easy to do. LOL!! This is to be my very last purchase as far as my photography’s concerned, well at least for this year. I had to upgrade my existing camera bag to the above slingshot since buying my flash and a whole other bunch of camera accessories to fit everything in. I also needed more spare batteries for my new flash, boy does it ever suck the life out of batteries. I couldn’t believe it. Then there was this dvd guide for my camera and being the visual learner I am had to buy it so I could learn and improve my current camera skills. Now I think I’ve pretty much got everything ready which is great because I’m photographing Tim & Katie at the 2008 INBA Vic Titles.

Oops before I forget, on top of my logging after @ 2100h every night I’m also not going to be online Sunday’s. That’s starting next week of course. LOL!! This is yet another step towards getting me back on track again. So now you will know when I’m online and offline. Well that’s it for today so have a great week and don’t forget to smile.

Today has been a great day so far. I enjoyed a good night’s sleep waking up ready to take on the day. It’s a gorgeous day outside so I stripped my bed, washed and hung it up outside on the clothes line. There’s one thing I enjoy and that’s slipping into a freshly made bed of a night. It just feels so clean and refreshing. I made myself breakfast then started getting ready to head out for my run. This morning I was running alone so I took my ipod shuffle to keep me company and district myself of the fact I really don’t enjoy running. LOL!! But in saying that, I ran the entire way without giving up and even managed to shave of 15 seconds. To say I was proud of myself is an understatement. I don’t like running, never have and probably never will. To run by myself, not give up and stop and shave of 15 seconds was a huge accomplishment for me. So I gave myself a pat on the back because hubby’s away with work this weekend. When I rang him with the good news he was very pleased for me and proud of me. At 35 I’m still moving forward in life in leaps and bounds.
After that it was straight back home to get some more water before heading out again, this time to the beauty salon. I had my first of ten sessions in the detox box. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and I look forward to going back again next week. It’ll be interesting to see how I feel and how I look at the end of my sessions. Nothing ventured nothing gained I always say.

When I got home I jumped straight into the shower to exfoliate. I’d purchased more products this week from the Kiehl’s counter at David Jones so I got to try out my new Crème de Corps Light-Weight Body Lotion . It’s the same as their Original Crème de Corps only lighter. It’s perfect for a day moisturiser leaving the richer one for night. Once I’d prettied myself up I headed out for my off-plan meal. I decided just because I was alone that it wasn’t going to deter me from eat out. So here I am typing up this blog on my smart phone. Now that’s time management at it’s best folks. LOL!!
So that leaves this afternoon to catch up on some domestic duties and blog of course. I don’t plan on doing anything past dinner other than sit back, relax and probably watch a movie before heading to bed. It’s up early again tomorrow morning to head into the gym for my aerobics then do some posing, you can never be to prepared you know.
I think that pretty much covers everything today. I hope your enjoying your day as much as me.

I’ve been busy researching online again for my next lot of purchases. My skins are close to retiring so I’m in the market for a brand new set. This time around I’m getting both a top and bottoms. They’ve been an invaluable tool and when it comes to recovery, it really does make a difference. These compression garmets are more than meets the eye, if you want to know more check out their website here.

I’m also due for a new pair of Asics Gel-Kayano 14 (W) . I’ve been wearing these runners for some time now and I’m still extremely happy with them. Now all I need to do is shop around for a good price as they’re some what expensive to buy at full retail. I seem to be on a fitness shopping spree at the moment doesn’t it. LOL!! And it doesn’t stop there either, there’s more.

Wonder Woman (AKA Lisa) our resident power lifter has been kindly helping me out with my squatting technique. Once again, it was back to the drawing board for me again. I started off well but found myself reverting back to old habits and in turn losing my confidence. I’d obviously tried my best to remedy the situation but wasn’t successful so this time round I knew I needed to tackle the beast from a different angle. So I emailed an expert and let me tell you her advice has been worth it’s weight in gold. I have never in my life squatted like I’m squatting now and everything about it is totally different. My warmups are done just using the bar and my working sets are still only using baby weights. I have to walk before I can run so it’s one step at a time at the moment. There’s one saying that comes to mind and that is “if at first you don’t succeed try try again”. It’s been a frustrating journey at times but I’m glad I persevered and got to where I am now. So anyway, when I was squatting this week someone had left their Manta Ray on the squat bar. I’d not seen one or even knew what one was but my hubby did. He’s wanted one for some time now but just hadn’t got around to getting one. I tried it out to see what it was like and I loved it. It’s much more comfortable and with less strain. So I’ve added it to our next shopping list at Bodybuilding.com with supplements and dream tan.
Silly me, I’ve just realised after visiting INBA today that they’ve changed the venue for the INBA All Female Classic. It’s now being held at Glen Eira Auditorium, Cnr. Glen Eira & Hawthorn Rds, Caulfield. So that’ll be exciting, I’ve not competed at this venue so it’ll be interesting to see what it is like. Especially the lighting conditions, that can have a huge impact on a competitors tan. It’ll all work out in the end though.
Well it appears I’ll be doing some travelling in the not so distant future to the Gold Coast. JD wants to see me in the lead up to my competition. In between my trips he’ll also be travelling down here to Melbourne. Everything about this experience so far is so very different to what I’m used to andd let me tell you I’m excited. When I’m up there I’ll hopefully be staying with the very lovely Lindy Olsen as well as seeing Jo Rogers. We’ll fine tune my costume fitting as well as polish up my posing. So as you can see it’ll be a very busy trip each time I travel up there but oh so worth it.
So as you can see life isn’t turning out to be so quiet as I had planned. Oh well, what can you do. LOL!! I mean, who was I kidding. Me having a quiet year not very likely. LOL!! Time for me to sign off and finish my lunch. Enjoy yourselves and live each day as if it were your last. xx
“How do I change?
If I feel depressed I will sing.
If I feel sad I will laugh.
If I feel ill I will double my labour.
If I feel fear I will plunge ahead.
If I feel inferior I will wear new garments.
If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice.
If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come.
If I feel incompetent I will think of past success.
If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals.
Today I will be the master of my emotions.”
