The Human Guinea Pig

by Lia Halsall

Eric Cressey posted on his blog this post requesting human guinea pigs for his latest project. Now you already know how much I respect this guy, especially considering I’m already doing his Maximum Strength training program with the Assess & Correct thrown in pre and post training.

So of course I had to email him and apply. I mean, you’ve got to be in it to win it right. Well as luck may have it, I did. I was one of the very lucky ones to be chosen to be his guinea pig. LOL!! Kristin a fellow blogger was also chosen so there’ll be the two of us blogging about our progress no doubt.

In 2007 my hubby emailed me three articles, Shoulder Savers I, II & III, he wanted me to read. He thought it would help me considering at that stage I was post-surgery from my first of two shoulder surgeries, and he was right. I did need to read them. Eric Cressey acquired the reputation of being the “shoulder guy” so I took notice of what he said. I then discovered his personal website subscribing to his blog. I’ve purchased many of his products and every cent was well spent. The rest my friends as they say is now history. Until now, that is.

Life has kindly presented me with this wonderful new opportunity and I’m beside myself with joy and glee about it. I honestly couldn’t be happier at this moment. This is not only a privilege but also a dream come true to work with him. It’ll be four months that I’ll never forget that’s for sure. We’re all waiting for further details letting us know what we have to do so until then it’s sit tight and wait patiently. And you all know that patience isn’t my strongest point. LOL!!

You sound so excited Lia. I’m really glad you blogged about Eric Cressey’s “shoulder savers”,which I will definately be looking up. I had surgery on both of my shoulders about 7-8 years ago (the best thing I ever did after suffering with the pain for years). One of them has started to play up abit lately, so it is good to hear you had such success with his programs. Here’s hoping; thanks again for sharing,Lynne

Excited is an understatement Lynne. Visualise “tigger” bouncing around on his tail that doesn’t even come close to what I’m feeling right now. LOL!!

The shoulder savers article series is great, let me know what you think of them. xxx

I’ll be blogging about the entire process Raechelle. I’ve also organised to do bodyolgy at the beginning, middle and end of it to gauge how effective it was for me. Time will tell I guess. xxx
