The Sunshine Coast

by Lia Halsall

We’re finally here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. :)

Although like everything else in life there’s always going to be both positives and negatives even when you’re on holidays and for me that was getting food poisoning. Yep that’s 36 hours of my holidays I’ll never get back. LOL!! But thankfully I’m fully recovered now and kicking back and relaxing just like I planned. Which reminds me I better make a booking for a pedicure whilst I’m here, I can’t be bothered doing it myself and I am on holidays after all. A girl can never be pampered to much I say. Only decision is where to go, thankfully there’s always google. LOL!!

Although this afternoon won’t be relaxing, quite the opposite actually. I’ll be having my first of several scheduled training sessions with Lindy. Her trainer’s going to be putting us both through the motions and I’m looking forward to the change. So far on holidays I’ve noticed that my clothes are feeling loser so I know I’m on the right track. This will be the second year that I won’t be participating with the majority of society of putting on xmas cheer around the waist line. Nope I’m shedding fat instead of gaining it.

So yesterday my hubby and his father went fishing and this is the mangrove jack he caught. One guess what was on the menu for last nights dinner? They don’t come fresher than that! He’s extremely happy now that he’s back home with his family and why wouldn’t he be. We’ve had such a traumatic time of it these past couple of years and being here amongst family is exactly what he needed. The best way I can describe it is that it soothes his soul and makes him a happier healthier human being. It was just what he needed. We’re both extremely happy and relaxed being back up here. It was after all our home as well back before we were in the Royal Australian Air Force.

That’s all I’ve got to update at this stage because we’ve only recently arrived, unpacked and got settled for the next couple of weeks. I’ll be back again tomorrow with another update and photo.

The weather up here is hot and steamy from all the storms we’re having but much better than being down south any day Magda.

Enjoy your time away with your family Magda. xxx
