
Using the S.M.A.R.T. Model I got organised yesterday and decided on my first short term goal for 2010. Here’s the chart I created to count down days that’s now displayed on my iMac Desktop, iPhone Wallpaper & Inspiration Wall. I also have my off-season uniform hanging up here in my office with me so that I have all the visual reminders I need to keep me inspired and motivated. So here’s my plan:
S = Specific
To fit comfortably into my off-season uniform.
M = Measure
I currently have an 85cm waist. My pants are 80cm. My goal is to achieve a 75cm waist. I’ll use my myotape to track my progress on a weekly basis.
A = Attainable
I’ll apply self-discipline and consistency throughout the six weeks to ensure this goal is attainable.
R = Realistic
I have six weeks and all the time in the world so very realistic.
T = Time Phased

Now as for the rewards system, I’m going to go with fortnightly rewards given that’s when I get paid. My rewards are based on things that make me feel good about myself like pampering.
Week 2 Reward: Paraffin Pedicure
Week 4 Reward: Oxygen Facial
Week 6 Reward: Relaxation Massage
So there it is, there’s my goal and my plan. I’ll see you in six weeks time wearing comfortably my off-season uniform.
