Time and time again we hear the age old excuses of “I don’t have time”, “I’m just too busy”, “I’ve got kids to look after” or “I have a full time job”. What they’re really saying is that “I don’t want to” for one reason or another. Over the years that I’ve been training as a bodybuilder one lesson I’ve learnt is that you don’t have to be inspired or motivated to train every day.
Now how many of you out there get up of a morning, eat breakfast, jump in the shower, brush your pearly whites and then make a start on your day? We all do right. The question you have to ask yourself is why do I do it? Am I inspired or motivated to do it? Or is it because I have to for health and hygiene reasons and because it’s habit. That’s it isn’t it. We don’t even think about it we just do it because we’ve always done it that way and because we have to.
Health and fitness isn’t any different. By introducing it into your daily routine before you know it 21 days will have passed and you would’ve successfully created yourself a healthy habit for life. Remember something is better than nothing so start slowly and build your way up from there. Just 30 minutes a day is all you need to begin with. Everyone has 30 minutes a day, even you. So switch of that idiot box, stop surfing the net, put down that magazine because that’s all you need to do. By making the time to exercise you’re not only rewarding yourself but you’re also increasing your longevity which leads to a happier healthier you. Here’s five exercise tips to help you get started:
30 Minutes Exercise Tips
★ Go for a walk in your local neighbourhood
★ Take your bike for a spin and see the sights
★ Participate in unlimited free YouTube clips
★ How about a swim at your local pool or gym
★ Watch an old workout DVD and give it another go
Doing what needs to be done is all that’s required, nothing more nothing less. These tips don’t cost you much other than your time and we all have 30 minutes a day that we can spare.
So what are you waiting for, a heart-attack? I didn’t think so, so stop making excuses and make today count!
