Organic Home Made Quiche

Breakfast: Organic Home Made Quiche
Snack: Organic Banana
Lunch: Organic Meatballs, Tomato Sauce with Fresh Basil & Steamed Carrots & Zucchini
Snack: Organic Raw Almonds
Dinner: Chilli & Garlic Prawns & Organic Salad

Daniel once again excelled in the kitchen over the weekend by creating us a healthy breakfast for the work week, an organic home made quiche minus the pastry of course. See the image above of what it looked like before he cut it up into individual servings for freezing. He used a round silicone dish to cook it in and said it was a lot easier to get it out of compared to other dishes he’s used. If you’re interested in the recipe just let me know by leaving a comment and I can post it up for you for you at a later date.

So onto other news, there’s been a change of plans in that we’ve re-scheduled our detox until the new year when we go back to work in January. We have a number of personal and professional related events coming up that would make things very difficult as far as the detox process is concerned. A detox requires 100% commitment for it to be completely effective otherwise what’s the point. This time around we’ve chosen lifestyle needs over our health and fitness needs. For the last nine months of this year I’ve lived a relatively withdrawn lifestyle whilst I’ve come to terms with the death of both my parents and the many firsts that followed. Being social certainly wasn’t on my list of things to do and my wonderful husband respected and supported my decision, bless him. Now that I’ve slowly but surely worked my way through the year it’s time to start socialising again. The recent bodybuilding competition season was the beginning of this process for me and with the festive season fast approaching it’s time to get out and about more with my family and friends.

But in the meantime we’re still eating healthy organic foods depending on what’s in season at the markets. My two favourite market foods at the moment are cream cheese rolls wrapped in smoked salmon and organic coconut date rolls, they’re to die for they’re that good.

Hmmm what will I be eating next week, I wonder….

Wow, just found your site. That dish looks absolutely wonderful. Wish I knew how to cook like your Daniel.

I’ve toyed with the idea of doing a detox. Just need to learn more about it. My daughter recently had a colon cleanse and swears by it. Look forward to reading more of your blog.

Hi Paula!

My husband’s a man of many hidden talents, being great in the kitchen is just one of them. :)

I’ve previously done a detox so if you want to find out more type in “detox” to the “blog search” window on my right hand side bar and it’ll bring up all the blog posts about it.

Happy reading. xxx

I’d love the recipe Lia.
We have been tryingt o eat organic as far as possible and I have gotten into making organic recipes and making batches up.
I am trying to get ahead, not only finding eats that are nutriious enough for pregnanacy but also will be great for me to have prepared whilst breastfeeding, when I will need to eat well and won’t have alot of time to be preparing as I go.

Thanks, it looks delicious

Lia the quiche looks amazing, I hope you enjoy it. We went to the Vic Markets on Saturday, I ended up buying some organic steak for our bbq with our son, daughter in law, and my sister plus her hubby on Saturday night, think I got it from Hagen’s……would that be right? The steak was melt in your mouth.

Have a great day Lia.
