Twilight

by Lia Halsall

Twilight

So I’m a little behind the rest of the world when it comes to the whole twilight phenomenon. I honestly thought it was just another teenage vampire love story so never really bothered about it until Friday. We got it out on dvd because the one we originally wanted was all out so we decided to see what all the fuss was about. Well I have to say that after watching it for the second time before returning it that I’m hooked. So much so I’ve already bought the soundtrack and score for it because I simply loved the music in it, actually fascinated is a better word. Both are already downloaded into my iphone so that I can listen to it when I’m out in the car. There’s something about orchestrated music that just soothes my soul, so beautiful.

My birthday’s coming up very soon so I’ve requested the hardcover boxed set of the twilight series for my present. I just wish I didn’t have to wait because I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book to find out what happens between Bella & Edward. I haven’t been this passionate about a novel for such a long time. Actually since Harry Potter. I’m such a child at heart. I’ve even got a twilight wallpaper up on my desktop on my new iMac. Yep I’m a fan, a huge fan now.

Not much else to report really. I wasn’t feeling 100% yesterday but I don’t know whether that’s because of a couple of really late nights I’d had on top of my adrenal fatigue, or because I’d started menstruating or if it was because of the detox. I really don’t know. So yesterday after I did my organic shopping at vic markets I came home and became one with the couch then headed back to bed again. I just didn’t feel right so I listened to my body and rested accordingly.

Enjoy your long weekend!

Hi Lia
I’m a regular lurker and occassional poster but I couldn’t avoid commenting on this. My 10 year old daughter is a “Twilight Freak” loves it and read and re read the series we have the movie. She finally talked me into reading them (not normally the kind of thing I read but OMG I was so hooked!!! I couldn’t get enough of it and read the series very quickly normally I don’t have much time for me with four kids but let me tell you I found time!!! It was the best reading I had done for such a long time.

Glad you enjoyed it the books just get better, the second book “New Moon” comes out at the movies in November!!
Cheers
Donna

Lia I too have the four books, would you believe I’ve not finished the first one yet, always busy doing other things, have not read a book for so long now.

Lia if I start to read I feel guilty as I feel I should be doing other things, the book gets put away, then I forget all about it.
Enjoy your day.

It actually has a really great story line, you can tell it’s come from a book. Hubby even enjoyed it. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself, if you do let me know your thoughts on it Valley Girl.

Yay for long weekends. ;)

I can’t wait until my birthday so hubby’s getting the books today whilst I’m at my apple one to one, isn’t he the best!

I got a whole lot more sleep last night with thanks to my heat pack, chamomile tea, lavender oil and my sleep remedy. I woke up feeling sooooo much better today, thanks Fern. Listen to the body, give the body what it needs and all will be well again. I’m getting better and better at this listening to my body thing. LOL!!

Hi Donna,

I have to say, I’m most definitely hooked. So much so my wonderful husband bought me the entire twilight series boxed set this afternoon because he knew I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. It’s a month early birthday present. LOL!! I’ve seen the clip for the next movie new moon and can’t wait to see it when it comes out. I’ll make a whole night of it and head into Gold Class at Melbourne’s Casino, it looks to be yet another great movie.

Daniel got them for me today in the boxed set. Like you, I’m also very busy but it’s equally as important to make time for myself to do things I enjoy doing like reading. If it’s important to you you’ll find the time Lorraine.
