I had liposuction done, what did you have if you don’t mind my asking? I’m a bit of a minority amongst my circle of friends so it’s always great to talk to other ladies who have had cosmetic surgery before. Surgery has never been an exucuse for me in the past and it won’t be in my future either, there’s just no need for it. We’re alive and living and that’s exactly what we should be doing. Given we have to listen to our bodies but nothing’s impossible here.

I always only ever compete against myself because that’s the only thing I can control. This year it’s all about enjoying the journey, the end result will happen eventually but it’s the ride I’m looking forward too.

I was referred to you website by a friend of mine who felt I could do with some inspiration – and wow!

I too have just come off some surgery – more ‘cosmetic’ than yours, which has left me with low self esteem. I’m going to start a post-surgery detox to get myself back on the rails. I’m going to take a leaf out of your book by not letting life stand in the way of me achieving my goals and dreams. “They may slow me down but they won’t stop me”. Amen!

I loved your comments about “not competing to be competitive”. Its a bit like eating without really eating – its an empowering way to look at life.
