Hump Day

by Lia Halsall

Chest, Triceps, Abs + 20 Min Treadmill. It was a pretty intense session and I was drenched by the time I was finished. It’s been three days straight training this week which isn’t how I normally do things and boy is my body ever looking forward to resting tomorrow. With my genetic disposition I have to be even more disciplined when it comes to rest and recovery. So this evening I have my reiki session which always helps me realign everything ready to go again. I couldn’t think of a better way to start my rest and recovery day, could you.

Chest, Triceps & Abs

Then in the afternoon it was back to the gym for a 45 minutes treadmill session. I’ve found another great way to pass time whilst on the treamill that’s if you have an iphone. I’ve downloaded some podcasts from itunes for free and have been listening to them. They’re great and there’s so many to chose from it’s hard to know where to start. LOL!! I’ve currently listening to a female life coach talk about positive affirmations which I’m thoroughly enjoying. If you can dream, then you can believe.

Well work’s been super busy as it’s only me filling my position now instead of two of use like last year. I’m still finding my feet but it’s the ideal place being back behind a desk when it comes to this sport of mine. I can now train, eat, supplement, water all on time without having to re-shuffle things around here there and everywhere. I’m slowly getting myself into a work routine and like I had mentioned earlier by the end of the week I’ll have everything organised and sorted.

As for my weight and body fat, once a week just didn’t work for me or for my hubby. So we’re reverting back to weighing in each day and then at the end of the week taking the weekly average for our weekly results, it’ll be a lot more accurate that way. We’re also doing calipers and photos this weekend, thought it was about time to see how we’re tracking. There is no better indication than looking at an image in front of you to see how far you have or haven’t come. So I’ll have those up at some stage next week.

That’s it from me. We’re half way through the week already and before you know it it’ll be the weekend. *woo hoo*

Hi Lia,

I have read your blog for a couple of years now and commented once or twice. I just wanted to pop in and say hi and how inspirational you are. You are a strong lady and you should never doubt yourself. I know you have been through so much lately, and although I have not lost my parents, I have had a marriage break-up. However, I think this is not nearly as bad. I am an only child and could not bare the thought of what you have had to go through. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I just wanted to say keep up the training, I can’t wait to see you get the results you want.

All the best
Rebecca

Thank you for continuing to read my blog, it really means a lot to me Rebecca. Having now been through two deaths nothing I’ve been through in the past even comes close to this, it challenges you to the very core of who you are and there’s no easy way out of it either. I just focused on one day at a time and now here I am. There’s still a way to go this year with all the firsts but I’m getting there little by little.

Please feel free to comment more often as I’d really like that. :-)
