Get started

If you've fallen a little behind schedule, that's no reason to get discouraged. On the contrary, it's a reason to get going.

The sooner you get started, the more you'll get done. The sooner you get to work, the more value you'll create with your efforts.

Do you want your work to bring maximum results? Then get moving on it right away.

It may sometimes seem that the easiest choice is to slack off and delay your efforts until later. Yet by doing that, you're actually making things more difficult for yourself.

To get the most done with the least amount of effort, get started on it as soon as possible. That way, instead of making time your enemy, you'll have time working on your side.

This is your opportunity to fill your life with richness and your world with value. Get up, get going, and get it done.

It's raining it's pouring....

When I got up this morning it was raining so I didn’t ride into work which was a blessing because I’d forgotten it was LEG DAY. I don’t ride into work on leg day, I need my legs to be fully rested to maximise on my training session. Otherwise I feel I’m short changing myself, if that makes sense! :o)

I’ve just finished sorting out my ‘time management’ for the next two weeks which includes all things personal, nutrition, training and work. It’s actually working out to be better than I’d expected, as long as I stick to it 100%! Things are actually getting done and at the end of the day I feel more satisfied in knowing that I’ve achieved everything I’d set out for the day. Of course I’m a highly organised person and this is what works for me, the military has certainly helped in that aspect. I guess a lot of what I’ve learnt comes in handy in this sport of mine and I don’t know if I could’ve achieved what I have achieved without this military training. :o)

Things have started to get a little crazy and out of control of late so I’ve had to take a step back and prioritise some things. So now I’m taking things slowly and getting things done in my time frame as I certainly don’t need the extra pressure or stress. Or as they say “an emergency on your part does not mean it’s an emergency on my part”, I can only do the best that I can do and that’s all that I or anyone else can expect of me. Although there’s been a distinct shift in my personality I feel that it’s long overdue and needed. It’s time to clear the clutter out of my life from all aspects and although it’ll be a long process it’ll be worth it. I just have to take my time and accept what challenges life puts in my path. :o)

Miss Katie has had a great day today but I don’t want to steal her thunder. But I did want to say a very special congratulations to her as I know only to well just how hard she works at this and this achievement is huuuuuge for her so well done sweetheart. I’m exceptionally proud of you at the moment. ;o)

Well folks, that about does it from me. It’s hump day today so before we know it it’ll be the weekend again. *yippee*

P.S. Dad's back home now after a full recovery from the kidney transplant and his health is coming along in leaps and bounds. We couldn't be happier or more blessed with the outcome. :o)

Operation Spring Clean...

is in full swing and first on the list was my ensuite. It was looooong overdue and the time it actually took me to do it was proof, the shower cubicle alone took me an hour. I have no idea how I've managed to come out of that shower clean everyday considering the state of it. Trust me, it was seriously gross. Not now it's not, it's spotless from top to bottom and feels and looks just so much better. :o)

I've also decided it's time for a little redecorating too and considering I have the ensuite all to myself I'm going to pretty it up and we know what that means, pink, pink and you guessed it more pink! LOL!! So this weekend I'm going to buy myself some lovely Sheridan Egyptian Cotton Towels in Rosebud & Fucshia. (see above) As well as a pair of Dusk Harmony Votive Candles which is a wonderfully relaxing blend of geranium and lavender essential oils. :o)

Last but not least will be Bathroom Ensembles in White. My ensuite is relatively small so it's important to keep things light and simple. White's a neutral colour, it matches the basin and goes with everything. It also helps brighten up the ensuite giving it the illusion of being larger than it actually is. Once it's all done I'll take a photo and you can be the judge. ;o)

Melbourne Free Posing Classes

"Free posing classes will be held before the Melbourne Open Titles on two Saturday afternoons, 17th & 24th March at Bell Street Fitness Centre (96 Bell St, Coburg) from 3.00pm. Everyone is welcome as usual; you do not have to be an INBA member or competitor. The posing classes are run by Victorian Head Judge, Michael Buna, so this is a great opportunity to have your posing professionally critiqued. Sharon Waters "Australia's Strongest Woman" will also be assisting at the posing lessons providing specialised instruction on female posing. Come along and have a fun time while receiving valuable advice from experts."

A new beginning!

Clutter in your life comes in different forms and can sometimes prevent you from moving forward or even achievning your goals. So what to do about it? Firstly you have to make a CONSCIOUS CHOICE to finally STOP PROCRASTINATING and be pro-active in your life otherwise nothing's ever going to change, in fact it'll just get worse as time goes by and nobody wants that. :o)

Write a list down of the things that you NEED to do and the things that you WANT to do prioritising them from most important to least important. Now this is our starting point and this is where our new beginning starts. :o)

We all have to start somewhere and it doesn't matter how many times we start and stop as long as we keep going forward. Sooner or later we'll eventually get there. And most importantly you're not alone, I'm right there next to you. :o)

Formula for achievement...

To achieve, you must be able to see the big picture. You must also be able to manage the small details.

The big things matter, for they are what give you a clear direction. The little things matter too, for they are what work together to create and maintain the big things.

Do you think that the big things are beyond your reach? Then you don't truly realize the awesome power of your own abilities. Do you think that the little things are beneath you? Then you'll continually be frustrated by your lack of progress.

Have the confidence to envision a magnificent goal, and the humility to get your hands dirty in order to reach it. Keep the big picture firmly in your mind, while giving your care and attention to all the little details that will get you there.

Give clear direction to your efforts, and give sustained effort to your vision. It is a time-tested formula that leads consistently to achievement.

Physiqe Essentials Singlet

Well I have to admit I’ve certainly done my fair share of pt today. I rode 5km into work today then hit the gym for back and triceps. Then it was out on the parade ground for two hours of ceremonial drill and last but not least is my 5km ride back home after work. I don’t think I’ll have any problems falling asleep tonight. LOL!!

As for my nutrition, it’s almost back to competition dieting to lose those extra few kilograms I’m carrying. But I don’t mind, a girl’s got to get that junk of the trunk. LOL!! Thankfully though, I’ve discovered Masterfoods Smokey BBQ Sauce which can change a meal into something truly delicious. Like I’ve said a thousand times, it’s the little things that matter to me. I’m eating all the prepared meals, taking all my supplements and drinking a minimum of five litres of water a day. So this combined with my training will allow me to shed that extra weight in next to no time and fit into those jeans. ;o)

Well I’m typing this post at work onto a word document so I best go and wash my dishes from my last meal, make myself a long black coffee and get back to my work. I hope you all had a wonderful day! :o)

The Muscular System

I bought this chart for home on ebay.com.au for $32.00, it's a great resource for my Certificate IV not to mention all things bodybuilding. Who'd thought I'd get excited about buying this sort of thing and decorating my office with it. LOL!!

P.S. I've finished my assessments on the "Nutrition & Body Fat Management" module and am anxiously waiting for them to be marked so that I can sit my first exam. I'm not a fan of exams, you win some you lose some I guess. LOL!! But in the meantime it's on to the next module, no rest for the wicked ladies and gentleman. I've also set myself a concrete time frame of when I need to finish this by due to work commitments. And I've also got a working weekend this coming weekend at work for my Senior First Aid Certificate Lucky me, I don't even have to pay for it because we require it for work. That'll be another tick in the box and one step closer to achieving my Certificate IV.

Well it's getting late and it's time for my bedtime protein shake. Good night! xo

For Selina - You are ready

You are ready, right now, to achieve whatever you choose to achieve. There is energy, desire, creativity and effectiveness rising up inside of you, ready to be released.

You are prepared for whatever may come your way. You are in a position to take it all in and make it all good.

There are deeply held values that you are eager to express. You have magnificent dreams that now can be brought to life.

You have what it takes to make this the best day you've ever known. All the lessons you've learned, all the experiences you've been through, have made you ready.

Better than ever, you now understand what it means to live fully. More than anytime before, you now have access to opportunities for meaningful and lasting achievement.

Just think about how well prepared you are, and that makes you even more so. Now you are ready, now you are willing, and now you are watching yourself begin to make it happen.

A Message From Jodi

Jodi asked me today to pass on this message on her behalf. She’s currently offline at the moment due to virus issues and doesn’t know when she’ll be up and running again. She is really disappointed that she can’t access the internet and is obviously unable to read our blogs and/or leave any comments. Of course if anyone wants to get in touch with her please email me and I’ll happily forward it on to her for you. I know that she'd like that. :o)

For Miss Katie

It just keeps on getting better :o)

It was a picture perfect ride into work today and I couldn’t ask for a better start to my day. Then it was off to the gym for leg day. My husband trained with me this morning (on his day off mind you, bless him) and boy did he make me work for it. Sumo squats and calves are the absolute killers and pretty much suck the living life out of me. LOL!! My glutes and calves are screaming out now, imagine what they’ll be like in two days. *yikes*

I’m in such a good head space right now, it’s awesome! I love this feeling of everything going to plan and being in control of my life instead of being out of control. I’ve even found that a lot of people have contacted me privately saying how my recent post struck a cord with them as they too have been feeling like this. It’s all good and fine to be positive and post positive things but if we can’t REALLY HELP one another on the not so good times then what’s the point to this all. That’s why I was open and honest in my post as I truly believe that honesty is always the best policy no matter what the cost. For me it felt like I was not only hiding the truth from myself but also my readers and coming out and being totally honest released that for me and now I feel on top of the world. So don’t ever feel that you can’t blog the good, the bad or even the ugly because either way we’re here to support one another. :o)

I’ve also decided that I’m going to buy my jeans sooner rather than later. And although they won’t fit me right now they’ll be put in full view for me as a constant reminder that I WILL fit into them soon enough. Just like it took time for this weight to creep back on it’ll take time to lose it again and that’s okay because it’s full swing for “OPERATION MUFFIN TOP”. LOL!!

Well it’s time for me to shower and change after my ride home from work. Enjoy what's left of your day and don’t forget to smile! :o) xo

Happy little vegemite today!

Yep today was a great day for me, in fact I couldn't be happier! Now that I got yesterday's post of my chest I feel sooooo much better for it and much more focussed. Everything's back in perspective and I'm back in the wagon, reins in hand and well on my way to greatness. LOL!!

Trained abs this morning, whoa was that an awesome session. *yikes*

3 x 20 @ BW - Ab Crunches
3 x 20 @ BW - Knee Raise
3 x 20 @ 50kg - Cable Crunches
3 x 20 @ 5kg - Oblique Medicine Ball Twist

I've also eaten all my meals without feeling hungry once and thoroughly enjoyed them, taken all my supplements and even managed to drink more then my daily requirement of water. A normal day's water intake is 6 x 750ml water bottles which equals 4.5lt but managed 7 x 750ml water bottles which equals 5.25lt. Not bad if I do say so myself. Tomorrow is leg day with hubby and I can't wait! *yipee*

And a quick thankyou to Lorraine. She helped me find these shoes online yesterday and I can't wait to try them on this weekend. A girls going to need new shoes to go with her jeans you know. LOL!! Any excuse to shop. ;o)

Well I have work to do so I'm outa here. Good night. xo

" The greater the difficulty, the more glory in surrounding it."

This point forward...

Today does not have to be the same as yesterday. You can make it better.
Just because you've been in a negative pattern does not mean that you have to stay in that pattern. You can change it.

If the day has gotten off to a bad start, it doesn't have to end that way. You can turn it around.

When life has been disappointing, you don't have to continue to be disappointed. You can make positive changes.

Though there's nothing you can do to change the past, it is now over. The future is yours to create, beginning right now.

Life is filled with possibilities from this point forward. You can choose, and you can follow, the very best.
